On July 20, 1969, Purdue engineer Neil Armstrong took arguably the most famous single step in human history.
But it was much more than simply one of the greatest technological achievements of all time. By becoming the first human to set foot on the moon, the Apollo 11 astronaut inspired millions across the globe to pursue their own seemingly impossible dreams. And that inspirational legacy persists today — at our university and beyond.
