Building a Pipeline: PPHS Origins Story | A Documentary

With the backing of Purdue University, Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) is revolutionizing education and changing students’ lives.

After recognizing that too few minority high school students were academically prepared for the challenge of postsecondary education at Purdue University, President Mitch Daniels and the Purdue Board of Trustees took action. They created a new high school for K-12 Indiana students who are underserved by traditional high schools and underrepresented in higher education.

In collaboration with dedicated educators, PPHS was built as a STEM-focused, student-directed, hands-on learning environment that empowers students and prepares them for the future, all while serving as a pipeline to Purdue.
