Pursuing Experiential Learning, Together: PPHS and Schweitzer Engineering Labs

Industry partners like Schweitzer Engineering Labs provide students at Purdue Polytechnic High School with unique opportunities for project-based learning. PPHS students José Quintana and Tristan Wilcher share their experiences working with industry partners to discover solutions to real-world problems. PPHS coach Joanne Labounty shares how collaborations with companies like Schweitzer play a key role in her students’ educational journeys.

Matt Kerkhoff

Matt’s experience producing content for Purdue goes way back to his student days as a film studies and telecommunications major. He worked for the campus television station, Boiler TV, when it first launched in the late 1990s. As a senior, he created BTV’s first student-produced show.
Now, he shoots and edits videos that share the stories of Purdue’s students, faculty and alumni.
