Through discovering his love of EV Cars via his passion projects at PPHS, Prem Hall not only built his confidence, he also found his future college major, Mechatronics Engineering Technology. Prem’s story is exactly what Purdue University had in mind when the leadership invested in building a high school in Indiana that trained under-served communities using an experiential learning curriculum that prepared them to attend the best engineering college in the US, Purdue University.
“PPHS First Class” is a documentary series produced by Purdue University that follows three students of the first-ever graduating class of Purdue Polytechnic High School (PPHS) during their senior year. The school’s mission is to reinvent the high school experience through project-based, STEM-focused, hands-on learning and to offer its students a path to Purdue. PPHS has created new K-12 pathways for Indiana students who are underserved by traditional high schools and underrepresented in higher education.
